Welcome!

Jensen Consulting consists of three distinct yet interrelated services. Whether working with one individual - a more therapeutic "consulting" role - or with a group of individuals, either in an organizational consulting or training role, Jim's 34 years of experience have taught him to attend to the common principles found in all these settings; vision, courage, trust, setting and achieving goals, integrity and empowerment.

In a business setting, Jim's graduate degree in Organization Development enables him to accurately identify and analyze common workplace issues and assist the organization in developing effective solutions. Jim's focus is in the areas of climate surveys, team building, and conflict resolution.

Jim has been involved in training activities for more than 20 years on topics ranging from academically oriented ones like behavioral health and clinical documentation to more provocative and intricate ones like the role of spirituality in addictions counseling. Additionally, because of his 13 years as a surveyor for CARF... The Accreditation Commission, Jim has carried out a variety of trainings and consultation work for organizations seeking to achieve or maintain accreditation status.

In work of a therapeutic nature Jim has counseled addictions and mental health clients in the U.S. and abroad since 1974. His steadfast adherence to the importance and power of the therapeutic relationship has always helped clients to summon the courage to face their issues in a realistic light and to live their lives in the way they need and want to.
